The materials that I am requesting will help the students in a variety of ways. Students will be able to complete tasks and activities on the tablets in order to review past concepts. Students in my special education classroom often need additional exposure and practice with literacy and math skills. The tablets will increase the amount of review activities that are available for students without requiring students to complete basic paper-pencil materials. In addition to review activities, students will have the opportunity to work on new literacy and math skills to help them be successful in the classroom. While working with my students on their own specific skills, it is also important to ensure that I am providing classroom support so the students do not fall behind their classrooms. Learning games and activities on the tablet will help students work on concepts. However, by allowing students to master skills on the tablet, student engagement opportunities are increased.
