At Northern, our students do not have much. Most students are unable to purchase an instrument, let alone renting an instrument. The funding that the school provides for new instruments is not capable of supplying all of the new instruments that the school needs. The students in band are eager to learn something new, and deserve the opportunity to explore a new instrument. Our current french horn is broke and past the point of repair. Two of our current students have a desire to learn the french horn. As an music teacher, I want to give my students every chance to succeed.
