Most students do not want to be confined to a desk and chair all day. This year I want to continue to provide alternative seating and workstations for students that still include some traditional desks and chairs, but also introduce yoga balls, floor seating, high seating, and standing tables to the mix. We need coffee tables to allow for our flexible seating. I want to move away from the traditional style classroom of desks and chairs in rows and provide an atmosphere that caters to individual students sensory needs. When students are comfortable in their surroundings, they are more focused, productive, and they feel free to be more creative .

About my class
