The use of materials that students can manipulate on their own develops their critical thinking skills. Algebra and Geometry commonly use visual aids like tiles, pictures, etc. Statistics and Probability use puzzles and games. These puzzles, games, and visual aids help the students to create, observe, and analyze situations that will possibly help them understand and solve problems involving Mathematics, and even involving personal experiences outside school and at home. With the guidance of the teacher, students adapt and understand a learner-centered classroom that would benefit their maximum learning process.
