I chose a collection of hot new young adult titles that zig where most of the books in the curriculum zag. My students will flock to these books because they have always been told that English class is boring and that they must read what they're given. Now they've got choices that address all their interests! I have hand selected a library of books that will grab my students interests and shake them! There are books here to suit my athletes, prom queens, drama queens, fantasy lovers and LGBTQ students too! I am psyched to see their faces when they see that English class can be about more than just reading the classics! I have included journals that they will use to write about the characters and stories they're reading about.
