My 9th grade students are not on-level in reading. A Dungeons and Dragons Club is an EXCELLENT way to get students reading, not only during club-time, but outside of school, too! Also, I think the more fun we can make this, the more students I can convince to play, the more I can get reading. (Watching kids learn when they don't know they're learning is my favorite!) I need any Dungeons and Dragons books, (preferably a few copies of the Player's Handbook), dice, a map grid, and some minis. These will assuredly foster a desire to read and create and write, during club time, and at home.
