Group projects are boring. My students want to be creative but lack the resources. We don't have camera's or microphones on campus. The movies we have been making can't be heard and they look terrible. The new iPad and microphone I am requesting will make movies that look more professional. Movies are increasingly filmed on tablets and phones but they can't be heard because the microphone on a tablet isn't great. Adding a microphone to an iPad will make student films go from poor production quality to vivid. Nearly 25% of students drop out because they're bored in school. Students want to get up and do something. They want to be active in their learning. Making movie is the perfect way to engage students.
