In their 2008 video, “Did You Know?” Karl Fisch, Scott McLeod and Jeff Brenman state that “we are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist, using technologies that haven’t been invented in order to solve problems that we don’t even know are problems yet.” In a world where information is increasing at an exponential rate, how can we as educators ensure that we are equipping our students with the tools they need to succeed in the future? As a teacher, I want to set my students up for success. By providing them with the skills they need to perform in life, I feel I have influenced them in the best way possible.
