My school is located in a low-income area with a high population of students with special needs. There is a significant amount of data that shows how flexible seating in the classroom can be beneficial to students with and without disabilities. As a former special education teacher, I can attest first hand how flexible seating can help with concentration. If this project is fully funded, I would be able to offer a variety of seating options to my students. Students would be able to pick the seating that works best for their way of learning such as sitting on a yoga ball, wobble chair, or on the floor with lap desk. Please help my students to keep their minds engaged, while they keep their bodies active. Thank you!
