As research has shown, poverty is an indicator or lowered literacy skills. To counter this, our school is taking on the challenge of developing a new and engaging language arts curriculum. However, we do not have a large budget for fundamentals such as books for every student. Please help me get books for my students so that they can learn to LOVE reading! With a class set of the book, "Freckle Juice," I will help my students access rich text and show them how fun reading can be. Having these books will make all the difference in their ability to learn and love reading each day they come to school.
