I am seeking a donor to provide one of the many needs of our new Microbiology class for Fall of 2018. Our district was hit hard by Hurricane Harvey and as you can imagine our budget is nonexistent due to trying to replace so many things. One of these needs is lab coats to protect them from the hazards of a micro setting and to provide them with a "Symbol of a Scientist" empowering them to exceed our expectations for this class and beyond. Although this item may not be seen as necessary to some and the student's could just wear long sleeves on the days of lab; we have a different opinion. Having the lab coat not only will allow for all of them to participate if they "forget" it's lab day, but also give them that sense of the importance of this coat in the personification of a lab professional in the making.
