My students are in a Special Education classroom because they have moderate to severe disabilities impairing their developmental growth such as adaptive and social skills. As much as we want them to be integrated to the general education setting, they need to spend much of their time in my classroom to receive support from the rigorous demand of the learning process. The shift to distance learning has not changed their eagerness to learn, but all the more highlighted this desire. We focus on learning functional skills such as daily living, personal care, functional academics, vocational, recreation and leisure, and community-based instruction.
