Through the use of the calm down corner students will have a place to go to get themselves in a healthy mental state for learning. The items in my project will allow students to express their emotions in healthy ways so that they are able to learn without hindrance. Mental health has a place in every classroom and essential at a young age. I hope to create mindful students who understand that their mental health is just as important as their physical health. Through the use of literacy, sensory items, comfort, and love I hope that students gain an understanding that they are valuable and loved and can seek help when they are hurting.

About my class
