We are needing a variety of materials to enhance our classroom. We have just one area rug and need another large one to help absorb sound, reduce background noise, and create a more inviting space. Sensory toys will be used in our calm down space that students utilize when they are having a strong feeling that is preventing them from learning. These materials will assist us in engaging students in meaningful activities throughout the day that will result in a more natural learning environment for language development. When our children are engaged and playing they acquire needed skills more rapidly and can more easily use those skills in other settings.
