Most of my students have some sort of special need, and for this reason we would like to expand on our program with some extra group times teaching about social and emotional skills and diversity within the classroom. Numbers and letters are important but at the preschool age, we need to teach the children how to play, playing together nicely, and using kind words. We may look different on the outside, but we are all the same on the inside. These chosen items will help children to be able to feel and see what each emotion actually looks like.
