I am requesting 10 white binders along with 8 packs of assorted index cards. My students show difficulty with their language and communication skills. I am currently beginning the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program) protocol in my classroom which requires all students to have their own binder along with their own set of index cards. Verbal Behavior Therapy teaches communication using principles of applied behavior analysis. Having these materials will help me start of this program and help motivate my student to learn language by connecting words with their purposes. Having these items will help inspire expressive and receptive language skills while having their communication skills beginning to blossom! These items will not only allow my students to be able to verbally state their desires, wants, and needs but will help them in their future lives. They will grow as adults and learn to leave in the community, through tacting ("what's this? _____), manding (requesting), intraverbals ("where do you go to school? _______), and echoic (repeating a word).
