I have researched and selected 6 children's books that reflect different aspects and cultures within the AAPI community. My students will have access to these books on a daily basis as they will be stored in our cozy classroom library corner. We will also read the books as a class during our daily story-time throughout the year as their themes pops up in our studies (family, food, "all about me," etc.). We may do projects reflecting what we learned from the books, such as doing research on where our name comes from or making a classroom cookbook with diverse recipes from home.
