The unique needs of my students can be met with adequate resources. Often classrooms are noisy, chaotic, and full of distractions. Our space is an escape from rigid, one size fits all, expectations! Flexible seating addresses the physical, sensory, and emotional needs of struggling learners. My students are self aware and can internalize repeated redirections in their general education classrooms. By changing the norm of staying seated and maintaining tight personal space, my students can focus on what really matters in our room. It's all about growth mindset, minimizing obstacles, and changing perspectives of what is achievable!
