It is a fact that students learn more when they are engaged and focused in the classroom. Students also have more positive feelings about academics and instruction when they are an active participant in the learning process, are comfortable in the classroom setting, and feel they have some control over their environment. By donating to this project, students will have the opportunity to choose a chair that helps them to become a more focused and productive learner in the classroom. The chairs will be rotated among those students that have expressed an interest or curiosity in trying to see if the chairs will help them with distraction, movement, and sensory issues. The different chairs will allow students the flexibility to bounce, lean, twist, fidget, wobble, and wiggle to suit their individual needs. This type of stimulation, should help the students focus and process information.
