Our school is a charter school that doesn't have a lot of resources. Teachers buy or create the curriculum. My students are awesome and love to read, but are still learning to create a movie in their mind. Picture books allows us to see what one person thought of to create, and then allows us to use prior knowledge to then create what we think.
