The donations will impact my students both in terms of academia and socially by encouraging self esteem with various reading levels of a concept or topic. The books have visuals that stimulate imagination and can provide context clues solely by examining the pictures. Non -fiction reading levels are generally 2 to 3 levels behind grade levels because of the difficulty. We try to promote as much non -fiction as possible because state testing uses all non fiction passages. I believe that this support will improve sight words and promote curiosity in learning. Students who are not native to English suffer from many deficiencies.
