When we have children, we would do anything to keep them safe. That's why we baby-proof our cabinets and such. My self-contained Special Ed students are my babies and I want my classroom to be a second home to them. I need safe storage for their "home away from home." My jagged and rusted old storage cabinet does not stay closed. I try to keep my students away from that area, as well, so that they don't get nicked on the rough edges caused from it being moved from room to room over several years. This new cabinet would be a wonderful resource aside from storage. When closed, which will be 99% of the time, it could be used as a safe magnet board for various learning activities. Multi-functional furniture and storage? I love the sound of that!
