My students are highly active and love to sit or stand around the room. The trouble is I don't quite have the furniture to accommodate their busy bodies! Currently my room has a few Surf portable desks, floor cushions, and a wobble chair. My students have been very good about sharing the items so far, but I can see the disappointment when they aren't able to get their preferred seating style. My students are more engaged and focused on their work and activities when they are able to choose the way they sit. I have selected these products based on what I have heard from my students. A great majority of the students love the portable desks I have already. They are able to take these and sit anywhere - the floor or even on a chair! (I'm always asked for more.) The wedges will allow the students sitting under the tables to have some back support and the desk risers will allow students the opportunity to stand at their desks. Finally, the active students aren't forgotten with some bouncy bands and a balance board to keep their bodies moving while their minds are engaged. Your generous donations will help to ensure that every student is able to make a choice for how they want to learn: on the floor, at a desk, standing tall, or with a bounce in their step!
