Being located in a rural town in Montana at a Title 1 school, our access to technology is limited and underfunded. With the addition of four iPads into our classroom, we will be one step closer to having a one to one ratio of iPads to students. The iPads will give my students the opportunity to practice digital citizenship, courtesies, and manners in the 21st century but also reinforce learning targets and apply current learning strategies at differentiated levels. "If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow." -John Dewey. Along with learning how to participate in digital communities, my students will also be able to work in language, math, and science developing media projects and creating internal classroom communities with the iPads. iPads are also useful for reinforcing math facts, learning coding, developing writing skills, accessing more leveled reading material, and advancing listening skills.
