The use of books in a classroom library is essential to growing my students reading stamina and comprehension. My classroom library is a place where students have the choice to pick the book that best suits their interests. Each book in my library is well loved and used as well as hand picked to suit all of my students diverse interests and queries. Giving students the opportunity to choose the book they want to read gives them the sense of freedom they often seek. They also have better chances of comprehending what they are reading if it is a topic or genre that interests them.
