With these materials, students will enter an organized classroom environment conducive to learning. These students will quickly learn classroom routines and be able to independently access materials including books, manipulatives and learning activities. The classroom organization will help increase student productivity. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. In addition, students will have access to different seating options. It is important to incorporate choice making opportunities into each day to ensure that students can take control of their own learning and feel like a part of the classroom community. In this classroom, I currently have tables which provide many opportunities for collaboration within the classroom. I am hoping to provide additional seating choices for my students so when they choose their seat in the morning they are choosing what works best for their learning style. The table organizers will allow students to access materials quickly when they need them in order to maximize instructional time. Students will also be able to benefit from these materials because I will use the book bins to create an organized library categorized by color coded fiction and non-fiction book bins. With that set-up, students will be able to choose what types of books they like best and get excited about filling their individual book bags. Ultimately, these resources will provide a themed learning environment where students will feel like a part of the classroom community. In the end, my goal is to create an environment conducive to ALL learners and for students to be able to work together as a team.
