My students have such a spark to learn and the teachers strive to meet our scholars needs with the opportunity to engage in authentic learning and current technology to promote success. Our classroom follows the Daily 5 routine which allows for plenty of time to practice and become better readers each and every day. A key piece of this program involves the use of technology, however our small charter school has limited resources with only one class per grade level. In our classroom, we only have two old desktop computers and an overhead projector. With these iPads, my scholars will learn to be engaged learners and readers in many different areas; students are growing up in a world full of technology and I would love to have the opportunity to expose them to this world!
