I teach 9th and 10th grade English in a high poverty area. My student base is varied and that can be an excellent tool for teaching tolerance and acceptance. This diversity can also be challenging and limiting. I want all my students to have an even playing field. Students are allowed to bring their own devices to school to use in the classroom, however, some don't have access to anything or their use is limited. The Chromebooks would allow those student who are without to be included and not have to depend on someone else for their technology.
