My students hail from an extremely transient, urban city. Sadly, many of my students do not own a box of crayons let alone afford the ability to experience the world with the use of technology. Having the ability to provide alternative sources of global information allow my students to become global minded as they head out into the world. No longer are cultures around the worlds inaccessible to them. However, due to the lack of resources in our area, they do not realize what is available to them. With the use of technology and digital media "visiting" the other side of the world is now more than possible. I believe that expanding the horizons for my students will create a world of possibilities, including careers.
