My students come from many different backgrounds, however, most have a very limited view of the world. Our curriculum is not as inclusive as it should be. I want to create empathetic, critically thinking, and open minded young people who are able to go out into the world and make positive change. I want my students of color to see books that have characters who look like them. I want all of my students to feel they are represented in my classroom.
