I teach in an Inclusion PreK classroom. My students range in age from three to five years old. For most of my students, this is their first classroom experience. Some of my students may: *Have significant difficulty acquiring and retaining skills (math, literacy, vocational skills, self-help/daily living skills) *Exhibit inappropriate behaviors as a way to communicate their needs (to escape demands, acquire a tangible item, gain attention, etc) *Have difficulty developing relationships with peers *Seem uninterested in sharing experiences *Engage less in give-and-take social interaction with caregivers, siblings and other close relationships *Lack make-believe or pretend-play skills Hands on materials help all students get engaged and stay engaged in learning.
