One of the greatest desires I have for my students is to ensure a safe and enriching experience every day they enter my classroom. Providing my students with tables and chairs will allow them to work in collaborative groups with their peers. Not only will students benefit from working in groups, tables and chairs will allow for more meaningful, cultural experiences for all students. Studies have shown that collaborative learning experiences benefit students' overall achievement. I want my students to be able to work in heterogeneous groups daily. These resources are necessary to enhance collaboration and build skills that they will need in the 21st century. Providing classroom furniture that is designed for active learning is crucial for these middle schoolers.
