I had taught 5th grade previously and have recently moved to 6th grade. I am currently teaching every subject and have noticed that my learners are not familiar with history, let alone American History and World History. I hope to integrate history into my language arts curriculum this year. At our building, we have a number of economically disadvantaged learners making the background knowledge needed a concern. Through this project I hope to improve their reading comprehension and historical knowledge.

About my class
