Research shows that expression through art can be very beneficial for all types of people; especially those on the Autism Spectrum. One of my classroom goals is to give my students the opportunity to express themselves through as many mediums as possible. This is made possible by having all types of art projects readily available; paint, clay, chalk, construction paper, crayons, markers, etc. My goal is to have my students be able to express themselves in ways they otherwise might not be able to. So many of them struggle with expressing themselves through speech, motor movements, socially. I want to unlock their world.

About my class
