I am a brand new teacher at a new school. I am teaching third grade for the first time. I need furniture and supplies to make my classroom welcoming to a brand new set of students. I currently have a limited amount of furniture in my new classroom including a lack of a reading table and easel. A reading table is conducive to creating efficient small groups geared toward guided reading. A standing easel will also be effective with small groups working on grammar, sight words, and anything I want to highlight as a class. This easel would stand right near the classroom rug where classroom meetings will take place. My goal as a new teacher is to allow my students to have what they need to become proficient readers. Please think of us and brighten up my empty classroom! Thank you.
