My students LOVE being "scientists". They love discovering things about the world through hands-on experimentation and activities. The materials I am requesting, rock cycle classroom project, owl pellet classroom kit, butterfly life cycle kit and a sprout and grow window, will help make that happen. With these items, my students will be able to explore and learn about a variety of scientific concepts. Hands-on activities help students connect background knowledge to science concepts. "I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand." This Chinese Proverb sums up the importance of providing students with this valuable resource. This donation will change my students' lives for the better because these hands on activities and projects will serve as an educational foundation that will blossom into a love of learning.
