Teaching in a Title 1 school can have its challenges but it doesn't change the fact that I am there to help students learn and succeed. I find that at the beginning of the year my new first graders come to me willing to learn and trusting that I will be the one to help them achieve their goals. I do everything that I can to make learning fun in my classroom and keep my students motivated and engaged. Some students may require a little more motivation than others and I have found that technology in the classroom usually does the trick. However, due to lack of funding getting technology is the challenge. With an outdated classroom computer and sharing iPads throughout the whole school makes it difficult to incorporate technology into our daily routine in the classroom.
