My second grade students are curious about the events they hear on the news or from friends and family, especially when it concerns our local community or their home country. Our student population has students from all over the world and they want to read and discuss current events. Our classroom is very collaborative. My students are critical thinkers and are passionate about learning about the world and how they can impact the people around them. Though I am the teacher, I am continually amazed by how much they teach me.
