In language arts, we do A LOT of reading and writing. If each of my students is assigned to their own device each day, it will make the learning process much more consistent and seamless. We use various websites integrated into our school curriculum. In my school, computers are not always available, and it can become frustrating to my special education students if they are not able to finish a project or task from the day before due to the unavailability. Elements such as access to writing on a screen and Text-to-Speech will help them become better writers and eliminate frustration and shutdowns that often occur in my classroom. These devices will also encourage them to read more with all the of the free access to online reading sites. Engaging my students in the learning process every day is my goal. Tech savvy learners = engaged students!
