Who doesn't remember being a middle school student and thinking, "When will I ever use this stuff?" Well, middle school students today continue to share this sentiment. However, with these Scholastic magazines my students will be able to make their own connections to the world around them. Students will be able to apply current strategies and concepts to the bigger picture of the world around us. The subjects will no longer be viewed in isolation. Through current events and relevant topics, students will see how real life is not separated by textbook. In addition, these will be a great resource for my adolescents to gain strategies to deal with the struggles of being a teenager.
