Reaching student interest today is not easy to do with limited resources. With the expansion of technology, having more technology time can help us become better explorers. The research for exploring we can do is endless! I really want to get my students reading more complex text, but those resources are not always found in books that are accessible and easy to purchase. The amount of copying done to get students copies of the important articles we read is a lot. Then students lose them so that they can't always be accessed! Chromebooks would allow us to read the articles online where the kids can keep them organized. All of their notes can be saved online to make the resources more meaningful so we can always refer back to them. This will give us the opportunity to prepare for state testing and get used to our testing material (how we take the test) and understand how to use our device. Chromebooks help with reading and testing as well as with math, science, history, and much more. We can explore our inquiry questions when we have quick and easy access to the internet! The opportunities are endless when we have access to a whole new world!
