The materials that we are provided yearly are limited. Exposing the students to rich literature is key in fourth grade. In our first unit of the school year, we learn about how our actions impact the world around us. The book Wonder aligns to the unit perfectly but it is challenging to give the students the exposure to quality materials when we don’t have the materials they need. This project will allow every student in the fourth grade at our building to have their own copy of the book Wonder. This project in particular will support and engage students in learning.
