My third grade class is located in a high poverty area in Virginia. They go to a Title 1 school therefore, the majority of the students are identified as disadvantaged or high risk students. These students often come to school with several more things going through their minds than other third graders. Many days they are preoccupied with outside stressors and struggle to focus in the classroom. They perpetually require active engagement and NEED to keep moving!
