My students are in the special education program. They attend a performing arts magnet school where 85.6% of students receive a free and reduced lunch. My students this year are in second and third grade. About 29% of my students are ELL (English Language Learners). As a whole, my students have dyslexia or dyslexic tendencies, autism or autistic tendencies, ADHD or attention deficits and/or verbal delays. Skills that are taught in my classroom include academic skills, independent functioning skills, social-emotional skills, behavioral skills, and life (outside of school) skills. I have found that my current students benefit primarily through a multisensory learning approaches to best absorb the material. All of my students have many talents to share with others. They continue to teach and inspire me daily!
