I'm requesting flexible seating and fidgets for my students that struggle to sit still and listen. These will allow them to move during instruction without distracting themselves, other students, or me. I will utilize them throughout the day during whole group instruction, small groups, and independent work to help students stay on task. Sitting still all day is hard for students of any age, but especially difficult for kindergarteners that, due to Covid, have never been in school before. By offering flexible seating for wiggly students and fidgets for those that struggle to have 'quiet hands', I'll be able to focus more on instruction. Students will be able to learn without the frustration of trying to keep perfectly still.
