With these innovative tools (the Dash Robot and Sphero) my students will have hands on STEAM learning. They will get to experience first hand what coding and computer programming is all about. Computer Science is innovative and necessary in today's workforce. When students come from low-income families they are unable to have experiences which naturally fill achievement gaps. This is just one small way I can work with my kids and give them an experience that will give them a leg up in this technological world. We will be using these tools in an after school coding club. The students hope to present what they have been learning at a local college conference.
