My students are very curious and energetic learners. They attack each subject with a thirst for knowledge. Unfortunately, they are consumed in an environment where resources are scarce including that of public libraries in which they could use as a refuge and resource. They are between the ages of 10-12 thriving in an urban environment striving to make a difference and develop skills that will equip them to leave a lasting mark on society. Our school is apart of a developing charter system that strives to make a large impact in the community and the lives of our students by going above and beyond to make community partnerships as well as guiding the students in projects that aim to better the community and instill hard and soft skills that transfer into compassion and tools for community betterment.
