Instilling a love for learning at a very young age is important. I would like to provide a learning environment with hands-on materials which promotes student achievement in all developmental areas. The donations to this project will help plan developmentally age-appropriate activities with a purpose and will challenge the cognitive abilities of all my students. The use of these resources will allow my students to connect what they've learned from these resources to their play. The Literacy resources, such as the Language Instant Learning Centers complete set and alphabet sounds teaching tubs will provide the students with daily emerging literacy experiences with opportunities to explore, observe, and experiment with both written and spoken language. With the Math resources, the students will explore the materials (Early Math Learning Centers--complete set) to begin to develop a foundation for linking concepts and procedures with experiences. To enhance their problem-solving skills and build hand-eye coordination, the students will put great use to the floor puzzles and engineering build centers while they continue to learn through play, creativity, and exploration.
