My students range in the ages of 5-7 and some have different learning disabilities ranging from communication impaired, social disorders and emotionally disturbed. We are a low-income school district and many of our students were devastatingly affected by Hurricane Sandy. These students require support and incentives to maintain focus in their academics. I have found that the incorporation of technology, implementing yoga, and providing activities that target the multiple intelligences on a daily basis keeps their interest throughout lessons!
