With your help, students will be able learn in so many different ways in my classroom. Having a rug opens up a plethora of activities such as, morning circle, interactive story read alouds, and even seminar style learning, just to name a few. Third grade students should not be held at their desks for the entire school day. Not every student is the same, so why should they all be expected to learn in the same manner? Your donation will help empower my students to be autonomous learners. A student with a high energy level can go grab a cushion that will let he or she have the wiggle room they need while still getting their reading done. No student deserves to sit on a hard tile floor for circle time. I am requesting this rug and alternative seating methods so that my students can not only learn and develop in their own way, but come together as a classroom community on the carpet.
